One of the UK’s fastest rising electronic artists BAGDER has announced that he will be bringing his gleeful live show to New Zealand this December for two electrifying shows.


Badger is possibly one of the fastest rising Electronic artists in UK Dance Music. His engaging presence in the viral landscape of TikTok and Instagram has become hard to ignore, growing his follower base twenty-fold over the past 12 months. As a producer and DJ specializing in UK Garage, Bass House, and Jungle, Badger’s unique musical approach and an ability to harness the power of nostalgia has built him a highly engaged audience at a rapid rate.
 
His live shows are a gleeful adventure through sound. On stage, he acts as the joyride tour guide, whipping his crowd through the backstreets of dance music and masterfully weaving between the old, the new, the undiscovered, and the completely unexpected.
 
Badger was first co-signed by AC Slater in 2022, which led to him releasing several tracks on AC’s Night Bass label. He’s now one of the most sought-after underground DJs, with his single Backstrap spending a week at no.1 on Beatport in 2023. In January 2024, he received major support from DSPs for his latest release “Don’t Leave” with Drinks On Me, which garnered 100k streams in 4 weeks and was included in 7 editorial playlists, including as the front cover for UK Bass Music. His edit of the timeless classic “These Words” by Natasha Beddingfield has had a major viral moment, gaining 200k streams online in the first 4 weeks. After being officially released in April 2024, the track racked up 6.5 million streams in the first 10 days and made it inside the UK Top 40.

Summer has set in strongly, and we’re not slowing down. Our good friends SlapFunk make the long journey across the world, bring a taste of Amsterdam to Sydney, with their resident Doudou MD in the hot seat.

Born from a Dutch classical singer/pianist player and a Congolese percussionist drummer, it comes as no surprise that the art of playing music literally runs through her veins. Her mostly vinyl sets are 90's UK/US/DE inspired, supported by strong percussion, rhythms and a spiritual touch. Always aiming to engage in a conversation with her crowd, dancing to her sets will release that inner gangster gut feeling in you. Body focused, voluptuous house and techno at its best.

The warmup for this week remains tight-lipped for the moment, with another secret brand joining forces for a secret after party that is set to stack this night beyond comprehension. It’s an all guns blazing, take no prisoners situation. S.A.S.H bossman Kerry Wallace returns this week, taking control of the sunrise set, digging deep into his arsenal of techy slapping sounds, and warm wonky rollers.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and in line with our Saturdays at Carousel we’re joining together on this one to present Santa Claus… Wait, no, we mean Dan Ghenacia!

Dan Ghenacia is the undisputed kingpin of the Paris underground scene and one of France’s hottest DJ exports, having founded and ran for seven years Freak N’ Chic and now one of the three creative minds behind new label and b2b2b DJ outfit Apollonia.

Dan’s love affair with music ignited whilst spending a year in California in his early 20’s, soaking up West Coast house and psychedelia. On his return to Paris, Dan channelled this passion into a record selling business opening his own store Traffic Records, but as a true fan of the music he didn’t just want to peddle vinyl – he wanted to play it. Quickly gaining notoriety on the Paris scene with the infamous afterparties at Batofar, it was here he honed his distinctive techno-meets-deep-house sound, at the same time inspiring a new generation of DJs and first sharing the decks with later to become lifelong friends, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky.

He's joined by bossman Kerry Wallace, linking arms and skipping in merrily alongside Alma, as they take on the opening hours. They’ll be decking the halls and warming the floor perfectly before Dan slides down the chimney. Nils Twachtmann is donning his best chimney sweep uniform as he takes control of the platters that matter for the late night sunrise session, ensuring we leave with out much of a trace, just a few crumbs and an empty glass of milk.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, a small little Sunday party gathered together every week in the sun-drenched courtyard at The Abercrombie Hotel. Whilst S.A.S.H didn't begin at The Abercrombie, it is certainly the place that it first gained notoriety and the momentum that shaped it into the well-oiled machine that it is today. 

From pulling together just enough funding to purchase our first Funktion One speakers (all of which we still own and use today), to beginning to tour our first international artists, from meeting our life-partners, and many of our nearest and dearest friends - The Abercrombie Hotel was the "unofficial start" of it all.

Ever since it closed down over a decade ago, we've dreamed of the day where we can gather there together again, reminisce about the past and how far we've come since those early days. This December we have that opportunity, and we're making one hell of a fuss about it. 

We're well accustomed to a long, non-stop party, so we thought why not make this one of the LONGEST! 

With 24 hours non-stop, we're going from 2pm on Sunday 21st Dec (right after we all brake for the christmas holidays) right through until 2pm on the Monday. We've invited down a solid arsenal for our armory too, with a special Secret Guest taking out top honours, alongside the return of Kepler. We've also partnered together with Yoyaku Records to celebrate their 10th anniversary, inviting Aline Umber & Bruno Schmidt from their roster to join us for the occasion.

The last Saturday of the year welcomes back one of our favourite artists, Laidlaw. 
With firm footing in the city of London, Laidlaw has become a trailblazer with his sound - igniting dance floors with energy each and every time he steps into the booth. The world of music moves forward through consistent work from certain individuals that constantly experiment and push the boundaries of sound into the unknown, searching for a new perspective on the already existing and building new movements from the ground up. Laidlaw has shown to be one of these creatives for the new generation of party-goers. The Beeyou Co-Founder has created a movement with his brand in recent years with a heavy focus on creating the ultimate atmosphere to get lost in sound, with a string of events that have taken the UK by storm, changing the way people party.

He's taking control for an extended 5-hour set taking us right through to the end of the night and seeing us through the sunrise session. Joining him, the Scenes crew have put forward two of their residents Felix! & Shing to charge with the task of an extended 3-hour warmup, ensuring the dance floor is properly primed and ready for Laidlaw to take control. This year’s lineup is one of the biggest in BTV history, headlined by global dance music powerhouse Dom Dolla (NYE countdown), pop culture phenomenon Addison Rae, pioneering hip-hop visionary Kid Cudi, and genre-defying punk icons Turnstile. NYD welcomes in our first event of the new year, and what an absolute thumper of a show it is. 

Breakfast at S.A.S.H has always held the most special place in our hearts. When the sun comes pouring in through those big glass windows, the energy in the room is absolutely electric. There's something about an after-hours that just hits different, and we're leaning right into this one, setting the stage for a proper heavy hitter. 

Gene On Earth has been one of our favourites since we first heard his early tunes. His unique style stands out from the crowd, and he's continued to develop on an exponential trajectory. His brand & record label - Limousine Dream - is much the same, driven by Gene (pun very much intended) with the same integrity, passion, and high standards that he holds himself too.

This NYD we finally welcome Limousine Dream, alongside Gene, to Australia, with an all-star cast joining him. Fan-favourite (and one of ours too) Dyed Soundorom is making his return, with Ron Obvious and Melody rounding out this fantastic four.

We're pushing the pedal to the metal and kicking off from 3pm up in The Terrace, with the rest of the venue opening shortly after as we take over the ENTIRE venue for this mammoth breakfast session.

Newy Bass Crew are back at the Great Northern for round 4. No frills, just serious bass all night. Saturday, February 7. One stage, one relentless session - loud, raw, and unapologetic.

The bill's stacked with some of Newcastle and Sydney's best bass lifers - drum and bass, UKG, dubstep, breaks, bass. Flow artists from Creative Creatures will be working the space, adding movement and texture to the noise.

Melbourne’s dance music faithful: Get ready, Eat The Beat Festival is back at the city’s iconic PICA Warehouse on February 27, 2026. This time we are stepping things up in every possible way.

Now in its second monumental edition, the festival will transform the sprawling industrial Warehouse into a multi-sensory playground across two powerful stages, each offering its own distinct world of sound and energy.

Front and centre, the Main Stage promises Eat The Beat’s most ambitious production yet, headlined by four giants of the global scene: ALOK, Nicole Moudaber, Space Motion, and Space 92 bringing their signature energy to Melbourne.
